Licensing
What you may do with the software, and what stays yours.
The short version: the Yazyk software is licensed to your organization to translate your own events, and we claim no ownership of your source audio, the translated output, the captions, or the receipts.
1. The licence you get
Tymeless Technologies LLC grants your organization a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and run the Yazyk software on computers your organization controls, in order to translate events your organization holds. The software is licensed, not sold.
2. What the licence does not cover
- Redistributing, reselling, sublicensing, renting, or publishing the software.
- Running Yazyk as a translation service for organizations other than your own.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or deriving the source, except where the law grants that right regardless of contract.
- Removing or altering notices, or circumventing licensing and usage metering.
3. What we own
We keep all rights in the Yazyk software, its interfaces, the receipt format, and the Yazyk name and branding. Nothing here transfers those rights to you.
4. What you own
We claim no ownership of your content: not the source audio you feed in, not the translated audio Yazyk produces from it, not the captions, and not the event receipts. As between you and us, they are yours, and you may record, publish, broadcast, and reuse the translated output of your own events without any further permission from us.
That is a statement about our rights, not a guarantee about everyone else's. If the source audio contains music, readings, or a speaker whose rights sit elsewhere, translating it does not change who holds those rights.
5. Voice references and cloned voices
A voice reference is a recording of a real person, supplied by you with that person's agreement. It stays under your control and is used to produce a voice for your events. When a run shuts down cleanly the software deletes the vendor side voice; a crash, a lost network, a slow vendor response at shutdown, or a vendor error can leave it behind, which is why the operating runbook also carries a manual cleanup step. We do not build a library of voices to reuse elsewhere, and we do not use your audio to train models.
6. Third-party components
Yazyk includes open-source components, each under its own licence, and calls third-party speech services under their own terms. A current list of components and their licences is available on request at hello@yazyk.ai. The icons on this site use geometry from Lucide, under the ISC licence, with four of them also under the MIT licence of the Feather project they derive from.
7. Feedback
If you send us a suggestion, a bug report, or a run log, we may use it to improve Yazyk without owing you payment. It does not change what you own, and it gives us no right to your audio beyond what that section and the privacy page describe.
8. Term and termination
The licence runs while you comply with these terms and the terms of service. If it ends, stop using the software and remove the installed copies. What you own keeps applying to the output you already produced.
